Breaking news... Update #2

Breaking news... Update #2

More encouraging signs! When we arrived at the hospital we found our daughter had been moved to a much nicer and brighter room. Her nurse, Shannon, felt the change would make a difference and she was right. The breathing tubes had been removed and her eyes were open. Still in a lot of pain, she made attempts to talk. She was definitely under the influence of her anesthesia as her words were slow. Right after we arrived the surgeon who performed the operation stopped by and was surprised and pleased at her recovery which pleased us as well. He told us that she was ahead of schedule and the nurses would probably have her up and walking on Monday. He also warned us that she'll still be in the hospital for at least two more weeks before going to a rehab facility. That's a small amount of time when you realize that she'll have years of healthy living ahead.

To those who said prayers and sent positive thoughts, thank you from both my wife and I. We are sure they helped.
