Breaking news... Update #3
More positive progress. Our daughter was moved to the "Step-down unit" today and out of the cardio thoracic ICU. As indicated to us the other day they had her up and walking. She had to be supported but at least she was vertical. It was about 150 steps which the nurse told us was very encouraging. She only expected her to go to the door and then back to her bed or chair. The only problem that we're aware of is that she still hasn't eaten any "real" food... just a cracker and part of a Carnation powdered shake. Regardless, we're enthused by her continued progress.

Sounds like good progress being made. Hope she can eat a bit more soon. Keep the updates coming PM.
